Batgirl’s Leslie Grace shares how she feels these days about the cancellation, hopes for the future

It was a shock to many DC fans when Warner Bros. issued a statement on Batgirls cancellation four months from release. So you can only imagine the disappointment superhero movie star Leslie Grace felt when she got the news. As Grace begins to share how she’s been feeling lately about the canceled DC movie, she also opens up about her hopes for the future.

It’s a shame that Batgirl was one of the properties that was negatively affected by HBO Max and Discovery+ merge. That meant we’d never get to see all the hard work Leslie Grace and her co-star Brendan Fraser put into their roles as Batgirl and her nemesis Firefly.

In an interview with Colliderthe In the heights the actress spoke about the cancellation and how she wished people could have seen the dynamic she had with Fraser as she hit him (but hugged him between takes).

So I would have loved for people to see those moments, but you know what? You have the experience, and you keep rolling, and I feel so blessed, all in all, that I have these memories and hopefully, maybe in the future, some clips will come out and people will get to enjoy it a little bit. But for now, we’ll just have to carry on as comic folklore goes, I guess, with all our memories and our stories while we can.
